Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, the Royal Bath

Today we were picked up by our driver Keith and our guide Nicola. We spent the whole day with them and would like to thank them both for being such wonderful hosts for our day in England. We started our day with a tour of Windsor Castle. It was very beautiful and we learned many interesting facts about English history to add to our collection of French history facts we gained in France. From there Keith drove us about an hour and a half to Stonehenge. We had gray skies at Windsor Castle but by the time we got to Stonehenge skies were blue. Then on to the Royal Bath in the town of Bath. After the Roman takeover of England over 2000 years ago Romans discovered a natural thermal spring and built public buildings around it thinking the place was some sort of miracle. There are over 40 minerals in this spring water and it has a very different taste to it. The majority of the buildings in Bath were built approximately 500 years ago. The town is very quaint and a definite must see. After a long ride back to our hotel we finally made it to dinner around 9:00pm. Food of the day was a chocolate chip rock cookie purchased at Stonehenge. It was so good I ate it right up and failed to take a picture. So today's food picture is of avocado tricolore and appetizer I had this evening.
