Last Night in Paris
I have learned so much during my stay here that I don't know where to begin. I wish I could have another day with each of my private guides to get to know them better and learn more from them. The journey I have been allowed to take on behalf of Fund for Teachers has been a journey of a lifetime. It started about a year ago when I was asked this question "If you could go any where and study anything where would you go ?" During the fall of 2015 I began work on my proposal which was completed and submitted on January 28, 2016. Then I waited. On April 5, 2016 I was awarded the fellowship to study in Paris. I continued to study and prepare for this journey up until the very last day. On June 28, 2016 I flew to Paris and the rest was documented through this blog. As I sit here reflecting on the week I feel truly fortunate to have been allowed this wonderful opportunity. I have notes to organize, new books to read and presentations to prepare. I can not wait to share more about this trip with friends, colleagues, my students and family members. It will be a fabulous teaching year as I begin to integrate all that I have learned. Lesson of the day: You are never too old to learn new things, keep those brain cells growing, and follow your dreams. Sometimes you are given an opportunity and you must seize the day!!!!
An extra food picture - octopus salad ! It was great !
